Anthony Gainer built Unplugged on a simple idea: real connection deserves real attention. After years of photographing artists, creators, and communities, he noticed something bigger than the photos themselves: people open up when the noise fades. Unplugged was born from that moment.

With hundreds of interviews he has filmed or produced for America’s Got Talent, Disney, ABC, NBC, and FOX, Anthony developed a sharp intuition for listening, reading people, and capturing honest moments. Working behind the camera taught him how to create space where real stories naturally unfold without forcing a performance.

Alongside this work, Anthony refined a portrait approach that focuses on authenticity over posing. He guides people through natural movement and conversation, drawing out expressions and moments that feel lived-in rather than staged. The goal is simple: portraits that look polished but still feel like the person in front of the lens.

That foundation shaped the Unplugged style: genuine energy, thoughtful conversation, and photography that feels real, not rehearsed.
