Preserve Your Family Legacy
Capture their voice, laughter and stories while we can.
Based in Oregon, but we travel!
Why this matters
There’s a quiet kind of magic in sitting down with someone you love and just… listening. Not to the things they always say—but to the things they’ve never said. The stories tucked away in laughter, in pauses, in the little moments that make them who they are. The kind of stories that live in a parent’s eyes or a grandparent’s voice—and disappear if we don’t press record.
Every time I share this project, someone says,
"I wish I would've done this with my dad..." or
"I can still hear her voice—I just wish I had it on video."
That’s why I created Field Notes from Earth.
To preserve the real stuff: the truth, the spirit, the feeling—before time or circumstance quietly takes it away.
This isn’t about milestones or perfect timing. It’s about showing up with love and curiosity.
You don’t need a reason to capture something sacred.
You just need to start while you still can.
This is not a canned Q&A or talking head shoot. I sit down with care, listen deeply, and spend over an hour learning who someone really is. I bring cinematic tools and an artist’s eye, but I lead with heart. The result is a piece of history—one that feels true, raw, and lovingly preserved.
Each session includes:
✅ A guided, emotionally resonant interview
✅ A natural-light or studio style portrait taken after the conversation
✅ Optional b-roll and archival photo inclusion
✅ Delivered in downloadable, shareable formats
And depending on the package you choose, we can go even deeper.

The Portrait - $500
This isn’t just a photo session, it’s the start of a legacy. Before I ever pick up the camera, I take time to truly learn about the person I’m photographing. Their story, their quirks, their energy, that’s what I want to capture.
3 hand-edited portraits taken within one setup under natural, or cinematic lighting.
30-minute unedited interview recording, a candid conversation that preserves their voice and wisdom forever.
1-hour total session blending portraits and storytelling.
Connection first: I specialize in learning the subject before I take their photo, so every image feels alive.
This package is designed for families who want something meaningful, timeless, and intimate, a way to hold on to both the face and the voice of someone they love.

What Sets This Apart
I’m not showing up with a clipboard and a list of questions. I show up to connect. To witness. To create a safe space for reflection, laughter, and vulnerability. I’ve filmed award-winning commercials and directed national campaigns—but this is the most important work I’ve ever done.
The way someone smiles when they talk about falling in love.
The sound of their voice saying “I’m proud of you.”
The silence after a hard-earned truth.
That’s what we’re capturing.
Availability Is Limited
I only take on a few of these legacy sessions each month to ensure each one receives the time and care it deserves.
If you feel the nudge—now’s the time.
